Display:
The phone has a 4.5 Inch 480 x 800 pixels TFT capacitive touch screen with 256k colors. The color reproduction of the screen is average and outdoor visibility is poor. The display is not the best we've seen in this category but is quite enough for an average user. Viewing angles of the display are below average with average amount of exposure values and contrast ratios. Our Rating: 7/10
Performance:
Performance is not the best part of the phone in fact we have seen better performance out of the phones having dual core processors in this price range. The phone supports a Snapdragon 200 chipset with 4 cores running at 1.2 ghz and Adreno 203 GPU. RAM memory of the phone is 768 MB. The phone lags a lot and the UI runs with a lot of hiccups. The gaming performance the phone is again not very impressive and is just about average. The phone will run normal games like temple run, subway surfers and candy crush with ease but will have difficulties running high end heavy games. Thou, it will run sum heavy games but with some frame drops and lag.Our Rating: 6/10
Camera:
Main camera of the phone is a 5 MP auto focus camera with LED flash that can take pictures with maximum resolution of 2592 x 1944. The camera is not very impressive and we have seen better 5 MP cameras. The pictures lack details and the color reproduction is not very accurate. The images are low on details and are easily pixilated on zooming. The camera also records video at maximum resolution of 480p which is again a disappointment from its camera. The phone does not record videos at 720p mainly because of the weaker GPU. So, the camera is below average but it will get the job done for you if you only want take pictures for your social networks or just want to capture a moment. Our Rating: 6/10
Design:
Design is the part which separates the phone from the crowd and it may become the key selling point of the Galaxy Core 2. The phone is entirely build with plastic and has a beautiful and premium looking leather like back cover and brushed aluminum like bezels going around it corners. The back cover and the battery of the phone is removable and the phone thickness measures at 9.8 mm, the phone does not have a very slim profile but it is okay and quite manageable and feels nice in the hand. Our Rating: 8/10
