Display :

Display on the Galaxy Grand 2 is 5.25 Inches with 720 x 1280 pixels (280 ppi). The screen is not Super Amoled but that does not mean that the color reproduction of the phone is not good, the phone does manage to deliver decent amount of details and about average amount of contrast and good colors, the 720p resolutions does make the screen a lot better and the screen is pleasant to look at, but the outdoor visibility of the phone is poor. The overall display performance of the phone is still pretty impressive and is more than enough for an average user.

Our Rating : 8/10

Performance :

Powering the Galaxy Grand 2 is a Quad Core Cortex-A7 Snapdragon 400 mid range chipset clocked at 1.2 Ghz, Adreno 305 GPU and 1.5 GB of RAM. We saw remarkable performance on Moto G that was running the same Snapgragon 400 chipset. However, that is not the case here, the performance on the phone is average and no where near the Moto G, Thou it is still decent but not what you would expect from a Quad core snapdragon chipset. The phone UI lags time to time and gaming performance isn't well either. The phone struggled with high end games with a lot of frame drops. The performance is just about average with nothing great about it. The phone is good enough for an average user but not for a power user who likes to play a lot of games or likes there phone fast and fluid, If you want a bigger screen rather than better performance go for the Galaxy Grand 2, If you need better performance The Moto G is definitely a better option.

Our Rating : 6.8/10

Camera :

The phone supports a 8 MP camera on the back that takes photos at a maximum  resolution of 3264 x 2448 pixels. The phone also has a LED flash that will help you light your subjects in low light conditions. The camera is really good, the images taken from its camera have plenty of details, good amount of contrast and exposure values and very low digital noise. The stock camera app also comes with some pre installed shooting modes that will make your photos even better. The camera records videos at 1080p@30fps which is also pretty impressive. The phone can capture 6 MP shots during video recording. The front camera on the phone is a 1.9 MP fixed focus camera which is okay for video calling. Overall, we are pretty happy with its camera performance.

Out Rating : 8.5/10

Design :

There is no doubt that the Galaxy Grand 2 is a handsome looking phone. The stitched leather like plastic back cover looks and feels premium. The phone is slimmer and the bezels on the front, across the screen are a lot thinner than the previous Grand. The back cover is removable and the 2600 mAh battery is user accessible. The phone has shiny aluminum like plastic silver bezel around its corner that we have seen in some other Samsung devices earlier as well. The overall design of the phone well-brought-up and this is the part which separates the Galaxy Grand 2 from the crowd.

Our Rating : 9/10
